Sustainability

Among the practices that can be applied immediately for the creation of a more sustainable present and future, Val di Pejo has implemented various projects to actively preserve the nature in which it is immersed.

Everyone participates in sustainability projects, even the reception facilities in the area, favoring a circular economy and above all encouraging outdoor experiences and activities for their guests.

Hotel Pejo, as the primary accommodation facility within the area, develops eco-green initiatives for the environment on a daily basis, including: separate waste collection and the cogenerator to optimize energy in the hotel, as well as a reduction meat menu, with the aim of reducing the consumption of CO2 produced by farms, together with the elimination of single-use plastic.

These decisions were taken in conjunction with the eco-sustainable practices set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development drawn up by the UN and also the Val di Sole Tourist Board, in collaboration with Pejo Funivie and the Italian Ski and Snowboard School together at the Ski Area refuges, have joined the proposed initiatives and defined the goals to be achieved.

Furthermore, we always advise our guests to leave their vehicle at the hotel and take advantage of the shuttles to reach the most popular destinations. These small daily practices are part of a larger plan and the desire to be not only more sustainable but also more aware of our individual behaviors, with the unexplained complicity that even our guests choose us precisely because of this philosophy that is good for us and it’s good for the planet.

Our commitment

We only purchase paper products obtained from the recycling of tetra pak and plastic containers, such as paper napkins, kitchen paper, toilet paper, hand wipes, cardboard cups

We have a charging station for our guests' electric cars

We optimize the use of heating thanks to a special 16 cm graphite coat

We optimize the production of electricity and heat thanks to our methane gas cogenerator

We only use Ecolabel detergents, and exclusively through refills, to minimize plastic packaging

We offer a rechargeable courtesy line to our guests, in order to reduce the use of packaging

We avoid the use of disposable products for our guests' breakfast, opting for refill-based solutions, and offering honey in its original honeycomb

We base our Mini Club on green concepts, such as the reuse of some objects for small jobs and the organization of botanical activities

We participate in “Ecoristorazione Trentino“, a project of the Autonomous Province of Trento for the environmental sustainability of the restaurant sector
